London landmark walks: compare three published loops
Compare the published loops around St Paul’s Cathedral, Tower Bridge and Buckingham Palace before choosing one London walk. Their approximate lengths range from 0.76 km to 1.93 km. Start with the loop closest to where you already are, then check the actual path and current access.

How to choose
We selected three existing Treadline catalogue suggestions with different lengths. This is a comparison of individual loops, not a ranked attraction list or a route joining them together.

Compare the loop, then add the rest of the outing
The table below uses the approximate GPX lengths already published in the catalogue. Its moving-time examples use 12 minutes per kilometre, rounded up to whole minutes. They exclude the journey to the start, crossings, queues, photographs and visits inside attractions.
Use your own pace in the time calculator. A shorter route is not necessarily quieter, flatter or more accessible. These suggestions have not been physically inspected for this article.
Choose for your available time
St Paul’s Cathedral has the shortest of these three published loops, at 764 m. Tower Bridge’s suggestion is 1,125 m and Buckingham Palace’s is 1,928 m. These are the catalogue loop lengths, not measurements of the attractions themselves.
At the example pace of 12 min/km, the routes require about 10, 14 and 24 moving minutes respectively after rounding up. A 30-minute gap might accommodate a loop when you are already at its start; a trip across London requires its own time budget.
Inspect access and choose your start
Open the linked landmark page to inspect the exact path and marked place. Check current access and any opening restrictions with the relevant site before travelling. The catalogue’s OpenStreetMap source date describes the route data, not a fresh on-foot inspection.
The listed distance covers only that individual suggested loop. It does not include a route from a station or hotel, travel between these landmarks, an admission ticket or a visit inside a building. Keep the plan to one loop unless you separately budget the additional travel.
Use the file as a suggestion
The GPX links below are available without a website account. They do not provide turn-by-turn navigation. If access differs from the map, use an appropriate public alternative or choose a different outing.
For a Treadline badge, your actual recorded run or walk must capture territory enclosing the landmark’s marked point. A visit alone does not earn it, and following a suggested line does not guarantee an award. Any loop meeting the app’s qualification rules can count.
